This week, the 6th Form block at Dame Alice Owen's School was fit to burst with 58 academic A2 posters, made by students in Y12, as they vie for the prestigious Brewers' Award.

Every year this enrichment activity invites Year 12 students to produce an academic poster on a topic of their choice. They become an expert in this topic by engaging with real, academic research and critically analysing and evaluating information. Students are encouraged to reference their work and draw upon a range of sources to reach a conclusion.

During the initial presentation of their work in the 6th form block, the creators of each poster are on hand to answer questions about their super curricular topic. The award will be presented at the end of year prize giving ceremony, judged by Mr Pickering and the 6th Form team.

A snapshot selection of some of the posters presented are available to view in the image gallery.
