Potters Bar Theatre Company is kicking off the 2024 festive season with its hilarious production of 'Nativity! The Musical'  at The Wyllyotts Theatre in Darkes Lane next week (Wednesday 20 - Sunday 24 Nov).

And Anna Welsford (née Breeze) - Owen's Class of 2001 & our Alumni Relations Manager from 2019-2022 - is playing leading lady, Jennifer Lore!

Directed by Hailey Budd, this charming musical tells the story of the children and staff of St Bernadette's School as they attempt to stage their own (musical) version of the nativity.

However, their teacher, Mr Maddens, has promised that a Hollywood producer is coming to watch the show and turn it into a film.

Audiences will join Mr Maddens, his over-enthusiastic teaching assistant Mr Poppy, the children and Cracker the dog, as they try to make everyone's Christmas wish of performing their school nativity to a Hollywood producer a reality.

Based on the festive Nativity! films, the show brings all the sing-along tunes including Sparkle and Shine and Nazareth, as well as a selection of new songs.

Director Hailey Budd said: “It is an absolute pleasure to direct Nativity! The Musical. The script is genuinely very funny, and the songs are great.

There are some lovely moments in the show, and everyone has worked extremely hard to put this together.

We hope you love it as much as we do.”

With a large cast of talented children and adults, this heart-warming musical is perfect for the whole family and will put you in the Christmas spirit.

Performed on the main stage at The Wyllyotts Theatre, the show runs from Wednesday 20 to Sunday 24 November, at 7.30pm (Wednesday to Saturday) with two matinée performances at 2.30pm (Saturday and Sunday.)

While both matinées are almost sold out, there is still availability for the evening performances from Wednesday to Saturday.

What's more is, right now, you can purchase two adult and two child tickets (for the Wednesday and Saturday evening shows) and only pay the price of four child tickets! The discount is applied automatically at checkout if purchasing via Wyllyotts Theatre box office online at wyllyottstheatre.co.uk.
